MEET THE MAN WHO CREATED HALLIDAY SHORES.
Unlike most other retirement villages that are run from corporate offices in big cities, Halliday Shores is run by its own residents in close partnership with the man who created it.
Even today you will find Mark Dixon ‘hands on’ in the community, working to ensure that Halliday Shores is everything he promised it would be. It was Mark’s vision (in partnership with leading retirement village pioneer Ron Dobler), to create “ a new model of luxury retirement lifestyle in which the resident’s freedom, enjoyment, financial security and long-term physical and emotional wellbeing are always at the centre of everything.”
As one of Australia’s most experienced Retirement Village developers, Mark also brings a strong financial management background to his role in assuring the long-term financial security of Halliday Shores.
The day you move into your new Halliday Shores home you’ll be personally greeted by our Village Manager, Janine.
Janine knows it can be daunting moving to a whole new place and meeting a whole new set of neighbours.
She’ll be there to introduce you to your new community and guide you through the practicalities of village life.
As well as ensuring your lawns are mowed, your hedges trimmed, your rubbish bins emptied and your leaky faucets fixed, Janine is also there to organise the more personal things you might need like a hairdresser, podiatrist, masseuse or personal trainer.
Behind the scenes she works tirelessly with your elected Residents’ Committee to ensure you have a real say in the running of your community.
WHAT OTHER RETIREMENT VILLAGE GIVES YOU SUCH A SAY IN THE RUNNING OF YOUR COMMUNITY?
Unlike most other retirement villages, Halliday Shores actively encourages its residents to have a real say in the running of their community. Residents are consulted on every aspect of communal development and involved in every decision affecting community life.
They also run their own clubs and activity groups, operate their own bar and drive change and preference through their own elected Residents’ Committee. And because Halliday Shores’ owner, Mark Dixon, is onsite so regularly, issues are invariably dealt with on the spot.
