As well as the stunning beaches, Lakes and National parks in our mid-north coast location, this weekend you can pick up some fresh local produce or arts and crafts at the following local markets. Find a bargain at the Great Lakes Museum Car Boot Sale or cheer on the teams at the Forster Dragon Boat Regatta. Details below:

 

Saturday 17th

Tea Gardens Village Market

Tea Gardens Village Markets is a new and vibrant market situated in the Village Square of the Myall Quays Shopping Village, in Tea Gardens.

With over 30 stallholders selling crafts, plants, photography, gourmet food, body products, clothing, recycled timber products and jewellery, handmade chocolates there is an abundance of variety to choose from.

The Hub Market

The Hub Market is held at the Taree Showground every 3rd Saturday of the month. This is the biggest market in Taree and surrounds, and has both outdoor and undercover areas.

At the Hub Market you will discover pre-loved books, fresh produce, plants and seedlings, homemade jam and gingerbread, bric-a-brac and food stalls.

Krambach Markets

Krambach Markets are held on the third Sunday of every month. They feature local stallholders selling country crafts, preserves, produce, plants, bric a brac, chocolates, lavender, cakes, woodwork, handmade soap, gingerbread, silk painting and much more.

Forster Dragon Boat Regatta

(17th-18th Nov)
Cheer on your local team as they compete against clubs from NSW regions. Watch the community teams as they experience the thrill of dragon boat racing.

Saturday

  • 12pm to 4pm
  • Charity Challenge – community, one race, 4 winning charities
  • Combined 500m / 2km race – Pearl Dragons and visiting sport teams vying to win mystery race

Sunday

  • 8am to 4pm
  • Dragon boat teams from throughout the State compete against one another in a full programme of fast paced 200m sprints
  • Featuring womens, mens and mixed events

Sunday 18th

Great Lakes Museum Car Boot Sale

The Great Lakes Historical Museum will be hosting a Car Boot Sale Every third Sunday of the Month. (weather permitting)

Enjoy a sausage sizzle / bacon and egg roll, hot coffee by Sandsbarista Coffee Van plus kids craft workshops while also browsing through a variety of stalls of second hand, hand made and home grown items.

When: 9am-1pm
Location: Capel Street, Tuncurry (on the edge grounds of South Street Oval directly across the museum).
